Police called to woman on 'wrong side of the railings' on Leeds bridge over M1 motorway

Police officers were called to a woman who was stood on the wrong side of the railings on a bridge over the M1 in Leeds.

Police were called to reports of a female on the bridge over the M1 at Sharp Lane, Leeds on January 6.

Officers attended to find her on the wrong side of the railings and brought the woman to safety after receiving the call at around 6:20pm.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At 6.22pm yesterday (6/1) police were called to reports of a female on the wrong side of the railings on a bridge over the M1 at Sharp Lane, Leeds.

"Officers attended and she was brought to safety."
