A thug terrorised his ex-partner at her home in Leeds immediately after being released from a police station with bail conditions not to contact her.

Aumir Ahmed was then involved in a dangerous police chase after officers were sent to her home in Cookridge to arrest him.

Ahmed assaulted one of the officers as he was being returned to custody when he was finally detained.

He was jailed for 15 months over the offences on February 14 this year.
