Storming into its fourth year, the Red Stripe Music Award 2010 supported by Last FM is hitting the streets of the UK again offering emerging bands the opportunity to grab the attention of the music industry. With 30 showcases confirmed all over the country in the best live music haunts from Moho in Manchester to The Dublin Castle in Camden, the gig series is running now until the end of March, followed with a London final April 29th.
With slots at three of the summer’s major festivals including The Great Escape guaranteed for the winner, The Red Stripe Music Award is described by many promoters as live music’s answer to the Mercury Music Prize. Visit www.redstripe.net to check out your nearest gig and the latest band footage.
