The opening is part of the Government's Plan for Jobs which is designed to offer more access to one-to-one support and new opportunities to find work.
Temple House Jobcentre Plus in Limewood Approach is one of the 80 new temporary sites announced by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) earlier this year as it builds on the existing network of 639 jobcentres across the UK.

Employment Minister Mims Davies said: “We know this has been a challenging time for many people and that’s why we’re boosting our DWP Jobcentre support in every corner of the UK, including here in Leeds.
“Every customer benefits from a dedicated Work Coach. They know the local jobs market and work with local businesses to match jobseekers to the latest nearby opportunities.
“It’s brilliant to see our Plan for Jobs in action, from Kickstart to Sector Based Work Academy Programmes, our Work Coaches are there to help people to get thriving and be ready to progress.”

Franklyn Zakers is one of those new recruits and is already part of the team at Temple House.
He said: “I started as a DWP Work Coach in April 2021 following my time in the training academy. I’ve found the work extremely rewarding so far - the help and support we provide to customers is second to none and I thrive in this environment.
“The chance to motivate and inspire young people into work is a gift.”
