Council bosses have given the go-ahead to £850,000 plans for a new children's centre in Leeds.
Boston Spa Children's Centre will be built on the site of the village's existing Deepdale Community Centre.

It will provide support to parents and carers of youngsters in Boston Spa and surrounding areas such as Bramham, Thorp Arch, Barwick, Thorner, Scholes and Aberford.

Services will include toddler groups and children's activity sessions.

Coun Richard Harker, Leeds City Council's executive board member responsible for early years, said: "This investment will provide families with a host of facilities in one convenient location."

Subject to planning approval, work is expected to start on site in March next year.
