Tuck into a six-course tasting menu at the Headrow House restaurant with scallops, venison, haggis, whisky and more. Tickets cost £35.

Scottish head chef Lee Murdoch will serve a five-course meal with haggis, neeps and tatties. whisky and bagpipes at 6.30pm. Tickets are £65.

If you want to keep the costs down, the city centre venue is hosting a whisky tasting with canapés for a very reasonable £15.

The new pub, which arrived near The Calls last year, will be serving a five-course set menu with hot toddies for £29.95.

CROSS KEYS

Sit by the fire at this cosy Water Lane pub and enjoy whisky tasting, poetry reading and a three-course meal. Tickets cost £30.
